Mozarrella Stuffed Meatballs
I said mozarella stuffed meatballs. I’m not sure what else you want me to add to that…
Ingredients:
500 g of minced beef; 500 g of minced pork; 2 balls of mozarella (No need to get anything too fresh as it will just disolve. You need a mozarella with a bit of staying power here.); 500 g of your pasta of choice and tomato sauce.
Method:
For the tomato sauce follow this recipe. And freeze what you don’t use. This is a beauty and can be used in many ways. In a large bowl, mix your two types of mince, sprinkle them with salt and pepper and give them a good working with your hands. You want them to be nice and married. Take a ball of meat that fits comfortably into the palm of your hand and take a piece of mozarella the size of your thumb and roll the meat around it. If you’re hungry 3 meatballs per person will be plenty. Place them in your pot and cover them half way up with the sauce. You can cook them in the crockpot for 2,5 hours on high or on the hob (make sure you place a lid on the pot) for 1 hour on low heat. Halfway through the cooking time turn the meatball gently so that they cook evenly.
Cook your pasta and plate up the sauce and meatballs on top. This one should please parents and kids alike!
